ammonia...finally!

Yes, I'm excited about seeing a color change on the 'ol ammonia tester.
My tank is still pretty bare with only 20lb LS.... And the ammonia is very slow in coming. So I threw in a small chunk of Yellow Tail 2 days ago in hopes of getting something going. I hope to buy some LR this week and really get it going.
This board has been a great source of information! I'm here reading everyday.
Question: How high of an ammonia spike should I expect? and how long should I leave the rotting chunk of fish in there?

Yellowtail is a fish. Very fun to catch
It was between that and a chunk of my frozen albacore. I didnt feel like going to the store for a raw shrimp...
This will work right? Whats the diff between a raw shrimp and a piece of raw fish?

it worked fine, if you have your ammonia spike, you can take it out now or it will stink like crazy.
