Ammonia Problem

Hi. Maybe someone can help.I have a 55 gl. SW Tank set up 4 weeks ago and cycled with 7 days of Biozyme.The Ammonia in the Tank is still sky-high after 4 weeks.What can i do to get the Ammonia down? Thanks Heinz

How high is sky-high? Do you have numbers?
More than likely, you just need more time.

I think your tank is still cycling. Is this your first ammonia spike or has it spiked before and then returned to zero.

Thanks for the help.Ammonia reads 0.8 and this is the first spike.

Then the tank certainly has not cycled yet and its still inthe process.

biozyme is not a quick boost for a cycle it may help but it will still take time to cycle. personaly I used it to start my first tank and to me those wuick cycle products actually made it take longer to cycle.

Are you following the nitrites in the tank as well? I agree, your tank is not cycled if you still read amonia
