Ammonia

My ammonia level is .25, Is this to high to add another fish? Tank is 5mo. old and has inverts, that are doing OK. All of my other parameters are fine, and have been stable for about 4 mo. now. Thanks, Deb

sounds like something died. Do a large water change and test parameters. When ammonia reaches zero you can add another fish. Doesn't sound good, something had to have died.

What's brilliant is that the ammonia level is .25 and they want to add another fish.

ROFL.

No API ammonia kit seems to always read 0.25 when there is no ammonia. Faulty kit and I don't know if API has addressed it yet.

i have a couple test kits and api is one of them, and i ahve never had any trace of amm. with it, although i have heard tons of people say that alot of them are faulty and you will get a reading of .25
