Hi we went on vacation for a week and had someone take care of my tanks while we were gone gave them exact instructions on when and what to feed well long story short got home and some of the corals just did not seem rigth so i checked water and amonia is way high lfs told me to change 10 gallons everyday for 5 days so i do not stress the fish out or take the good stuff out anyone have any disagreement with this please steer me in the right direction thanks

What is way high (reading)? If you're able, I'd get everything out and do a large water change. Check the ammonia level after this...... don't put any livestock in until ammonia and nitrites are at 0. :D

I would try to figure out why the ammonia spike. The water changes should help but it would concern me if my ammonia just spiked with no reason

This is true. But if nothing died, and I'm assumeing nothing did, overfeeding is most likely the culprit. :D

Thanks for the replies Yes I am thinking it is because The person kept feeding them because he thought they wanted more than i told him it is slowly coming down i did 2 10 gal water changes already and the strange thing is the only thing that was off was the amonia thanks
