amount of time lights are on

I was wondering how long I should have the timer on for the coral in my tank. I have zoas, mushrooms and xenia. I need to know ho many hours is good thanks

Well my lights twelve hours a day and they are flourishing especially the xenia its growing mad but it wont take over your tank if you do 12 or 14 hours ( i have heard stories about xenia taking over the tank).

No more than 8 hours a day is necessary with a good quality light.
