Can you add amquel plus directly to the tank, or you you have to mix in the water before a water change?

mix it in the water for your waterchange before adding it to the tank, and before mixing your salt, if you put chlorinated water in your tank the chlorine will start killing stuff before the amquell can neutralize it all.
