an i add live rock? Undergravel filter

I have my tank set up with marine sand and 10lbs of live rock and some mollies to cycle to the tank
Can i keep adding live rock to rock that's already started curing?
Also i have an undergravel filter that i have in but don't want to use anymore ........
can i just leave it in and cap the tube holes? i don't feel like ripping it all apart....there is a layer of foam i used to cover the filter so if i have to take it out i will

i use it in mine...i just wrapped it in screen so the sand doesn't fall through and cap the tubes....then you won't have gas exchange if you ever have to remove.....
