And it begins again!

This time the upgrade is from a 50g breeder to a 120g DAS peninsula Tank.
Here is the existing tank which is a 50 breeder (48x18x13) and is center drilled in both halves. The tank currenly has 4 95w VHOs which has proven to be enough for keep anything in this tank.

Everything will be going from this tank to the new DAS 120.

The DAS has a built in filtration system that I currently know nothing about.
For the time being I will using a couple of small mag pump to return water from the filtration system to the DT section of the tank in conjunction with a HOB skimmer. Flow in the tank will be provided by a couple of Koralia 3s and a maxi 1200.
The change over takes place this afternoon and I'll be sure to get progress pictures along the way.

I will end up modding it to be nothing more than a full width overflow in the future but for now I'm going to work around it.

Very cool, tank can be viewed on three sides - I really like.

It's only going to be viewable from 2 sides while it's in my bedroom. So far I'm happy with how it's turning out.

This tank only lasted a couple of months before I got tired of fighting the battle with nitrates and the built in over flow system. I sold it to another local reefer who was second in line when I bought it and replaced it with a 90G which is also now about to come done for something along the lines of a 24x24x24 cube that will serve as a Seahorse tank to be kept in the bedroom.
