Just started the build of my 135 gallon FOWLR tank. I have the DT with water and the base rock in place. Tomorrow, I will add the seed LRR to the sump and some Premium Fuji to the display. Then sit back for the cycle. Then the start of the rest. Here is the beginning.

Ok, here is the stock list I am thinking about,
right now , I have a Royal Gramma and
a (?) False Percula Clown fish in Hospital / Quarantine tank with a few CUC members.
A couple Turbo snails,
6 Red leg Hermits,
and a shrimp.
I plan to add some Narsis (? sp) snails,
more Turbos,
and some Cerials (? sp) snails.
Along with More Red leg hermits,
some Blue leg hermits,
and a couple regular crabs.
The wish list is for
a Blue hippo tang
a small school of chromis ( max 8)
Either a Coral beauty or Flame angel
I am not sure, but maybe a blennie or a goby (maybe Both?)
Any other Ideas?

130 is minimum size preferably larger for the Paracanthurus hepatus (blue regal/ hippo tnag) that grow up to 8-12 possible inches, and very VERY active fish. that i know of they only eat algae as adults and zooplankton as juvi. so if you get one i'd get it after you have enough algae for it if that makes sense. nice setup too.

oh and for the goby...
i personally like the diamondback goby, they eat their nutrients out of the sand as they sift it! awesome to watch. but there are plenty of reef safe gobies as well. just depends on what you are wanting it to do.

The tank has been running for almost a week now. I have tested the water and have the first traces of nitrates (0.25). Ammonia was tested at 1.25. I have added and need to add some more LRR to the sump. But I did add some Oyster bar clusters I picked up over the weekend. I am waiting for next week due to an unplanned trip north this weekend.
As far as the stock list goes, I am hesitant on the Blue Hippo/ Royal Tang due to size limits, so I may have to replace that with a Damsel (Blue with Yellow tail) for my daughters, (The Dory fish). Just have to WAIT AND SEE.

Well, here it is a couple weeks later and I have added some new tank mates. The first is one of 4 snails I found in the wild,
and a pic of Mr. Crabs (as my daughter has named it).
I will try to transfer my clown and Royal Gramma this weekend.

If you are looking to add some beautiful LR, there is a fella in Tampa-Dan-he sells on the Bay site; but I have his cell # and made trips to Tampa when starting my tanks. I will not buy anywyere else ever, and his prices are great! You can hand pick and its straight from the Gulf. The life on and in the rock is unbelievable. Good Luck w/ the tank!
