Is it safe to buy lionfish from ***** because one just opened up where i live and the fish barely got put into the tanks this morning?
It was a zebra lionfish. (medium size)

umm where do u live? it just kinda depends.. usually i wouldnt but sometimes i do and they work out great! but if they look healthy maybe. make sure the staff knows what they are doing and not to net it and everything

Ask them to feed the fish in front of you. Zebras can be finicky, especially if they weren't handled too well during shipping and receiving.

Is my rockwork suitable for a dwarf lionfish? Or does the cave need to be bigger?

SORRY TANK IS CLOUDY FROM MOVING ROCKS AROUND.

What sized tank is that? Keep in mind that a Zebra grows to seven inches.
My Zebra does not hide much at all. He is always out in the open. The cave will be fine or he will go to the back cave, if he is more comfortable there.

34 wouldnt be enough bc the second fish u are going to add has to be bigger than the lionfish mouth. not enough room! and never buy stuff from *****. i have a extremely reliable source who knows ppl who import and export exotic/marine fish. ***** gets the bottom line of crap!

First let's watch the language . No need for profanity . No matter what kind of condition the store is in .
Second lets not turn this in to a bash ***** thread . We all know how that will end .
Personally I have had just as good of luck getting healthy fish from ***** as I have from other local stores .

Zebra's are great, but they are very delicate at times. The tank looks like it is a cube tank, so I can tell you from experience it is a bad idea. I had a lion fish (Zebra) in a 29 Gallon Bio Cube, and died within 24 hrs. Thank GOd my LFS gtd Marine Fish for 7 days. So, I would stay away from Lionfish in cubes, because they really dont have the fun they need.
In regard to *****, I have got some really good SW Fish from them, so many I just have been lucky or just got a really good store that has employees that care about their fish.

I got a volitan lionfish awhile ago from ***** and he did fine. I had him for about 6 months then sold him to a friend and he's still doing fairly well. The fish are hit or misses, just make sure you look at the fish as though you would when you are purchasing a fish anywhere else. Sometimes I go in there and see a few nice fish and sometimes I see some that are in really bad shape, you just gotta be careful.

Your fish did not die in 24 hrs from the tank size, nor shape.
