Anemone+clown ques

Last week I walked in on my sebae anemone (beautiful brown and def healthy) trying to eat my female true perc that ive had for 2 years. Since this time the male has moved into her home, but is only about half her size. I've noticed that since shes been dead, my sebae hasnt opened quite the same. Dont get me wrong this thing still seems very healthy responds to feeding, but rather than spread out fully, its forming more of a cup shape, losing about 2-3 inches from its normal full diameter when spread.
I've wondered for a long time if having clowns in anemones makes the better off....heres my logic--they clean debris off of them (although mine doesnt have any on it) but mroe importanly, i think the clowns trick the anemone into thinking that the flow is different than it really is.
Do you think that my Anemone is just responding to the changed environment now that the clown is gone?
As a side note, im pretty sure that my rose in the tank is splitting today! kinda bummed i hoped it would grow huge and not split.....maybe i fed it too much yesterday
