Anemone - dead skin?

My anemone seems to have a awful lot of what seems to be dead skin around his base close to his tentacles... is this normal? Should I be concerned?
The bloody thing decided he wanted to move higher in the tank while I was at work.. trampled over the last of my xenia.. hopefully some of them recover.

Its a bubble tip. No pic unless I wanna pay $2.99 to get a kodak cd!
Everywhere the anemone moves to it leaves like this thick slimey/stringy crap on the glass/rocks... I figured whatever that stuff is.. is what is on him.

A bubble tip should not move much if he looks slimy and pale he is in stress i am having a problem with my bubble tip also he got under a rock and didnt get much light i jest found him today and am looking for some help also
