Anemone Dieing

Don't know how long you have had it but an anemone will expel waster from time to time that looks like a long brown string. And the close up while doing this. Tell us about it, how long you have had it, what your tank is like as far as lights, water, rocks, etc.
Perfect dark is the one with good answers on anemones so if you can give us some more info I am sure he will show up here.

I believe it is expelling waste. If it becomes unresponsive to things touching it, and starts to literally fall apart then it is dead. At that time you need to take it out of the tank before it totally dicenegrates and fouls up the tank.
I don't know bout your lights, but everything else seems to be on par IMO. Your anemone will close up from time to time (sometimes daily), mine does every night when the lights go out, it closes up to the size of like two golf balls, then during the day it is about 8 inches in diameter.

I'VE HAD HIM ABOUT 3 MONTHS
IT IS A BROWN STRING
ABOUT 50 PONDS OF LR
1 36" F30 T8 LIGHT
HE HAS BEEN UP TOP ON LR THE PAST WEEK IN FRONT OF THE POWER HEAD JUST WRIGHT BELOW THE POWERHEAD
