Anemone Feeding

Hi All:
I wanted to know how much you guys feed your anemones and how often. I have a small Rhizo Anemone that I got from the lfs (150 was a steal) and hes around 4" x 2". How often should I feed him mysis and how much during each sitting?
I currently feed him around twice a week with a good squirt each time but I may be over feeding. (maybe 15 or so mysis in each feeding)
If you guys feed or do anything else, please let me know.

A Rhizo, as in Rhizotrochus, is a coral, an LPS. It's non-photosynthetic, that would need fed significantly more then a typical photosynthetic coral or anemone that utilizes its symbiotic relationship with zooxanthellae for partial nourishment.
From what I've seen on Rhizo's the amount you feed might be okay, but I would spread it out more. 10 pieces of mysis each feeding, 4 days a week.

Not to thread hijack but I've got a carpet that I've been feeding every couple of days. Open it's about 8" but after I feed it, it shrinks to around 3-4"
until the next day is that normal?

For the Rhizo, do you recommend other things besides mysis? Should I try scallop or silverslides or something else? If so is there anyway I should prepare them?

I feed my Bubble nem raw fresh caught salmon. 'course i have the luxury of nutritious salmon, not the farm raised grocery salmon. So this probably isn't an option for you. I've been told that grocery salmon is unhealthy in large quantities for the fish due to its greasyness. But it's always good to switch it up. I always prefer raw foods for my tank, whether it be scallop, shrimp or salmon. As for feeding intervals, I'm unsure, I usually pop a piece to my nem every other day.
Thanks,
Eric
