Anemone/Fether Duster Question

Hi all. I am a newbie on the reef end of this. I have had a fish only tank for over 4 years but started my reef tank about 6 months ago. Anyway, on with my question. Within a week of buying my live rock we had all these pretty little things growing which look like a cross between anemones and feather dusters. They are really pretty actually and I didn't really worry about them until now. They are growing everywhere. I asked the lfs guy about them and he said they were a type of anemone. I am sorry, but for the life of me I cannot remember what he called them. He said that the only problem with them is that they will sting my corals which is a problem because as all of you know I am spending quite a bit of money on these and do not want them harmed. His suggestion was either buy a copperbanded butterfly or peppermint shrimp (both of which are suppose to eat these things). My problem is, I have a 55 gallon tank which is not big enough for a butterfly. I will buy the peppermint shrimp but wanted to ask you guys what you thought about this or if anyone has had to deal with this kind of thing before and what their sollution was. By the way, I very rarely post here but am always lurking because you guys are the best. I have learned so much just by reading here on this site. Thanks for any adivce you can give me.

peppermint shrimp will most likely get rid of them,
or you can try injecting them with boiling water or a chemical that is reef safe called joes juice
i think antipsia is the anemone

Thank you for your reply. I think you are right, it is antipsia. He also said we could inject them or pluck them but when you try to get anywhere near them they shrivel up and you can't get them. I think I will try the peppermint shrimp. Thanks
