Hi,
Would like to know which type of anemone is the best for beginners (easy to keep). I have a a very small tank and would like to keep one for my 2 clowns. My previous attempt was a disaster...

Thanks.
Cheers,

Sorry to rain on your parade.. But NONE.. would be my answer. For more than one reason. Anenomes are not for begininers and there are none that are "easy" to keep, they need a well established tank 8 months minimum, and they also need a larger tank than I am guessing you have. By the way you say you have a small tank I am guessing yours is in the 20 gal range or smaller? They need pristene water quality with no drastic fluctuations and lastly but certainly not least they need very high lighting. Hope this helps... your clowns dont need an anenome to stay happy and IMO you would benifit by not having one this early in the hobby.

This is the answer to your own question . Anemones , beginners ,very small tank , and easy do not go well together for the many reasons explained already .
If you want to keep them in the future , I`d start researching anemones for their needs and care .

or a tube anenome for that matter. They sell them on this site. In fact they are not really anenomes they are awesome in coloration and they cannot move. Cons---> clown fish will not host them.. but they are one of my favorite animals I have in my tank.
