I would really like to get an anemone for our established (1 year old) 90g reef tank and am looking for recommendations.
We have two clowns - as best as I can tell they're true Perculas. We have excellent lighting and thriving corals. My LFS recommends a rose anemone (because it's in the easy care category and striking in appearance). I know that there's no guarantee that I can get a match with the clowns, but this isn't in the list of anemones for Perculas, and I would like to increase my chances of the clowns taking to whatever I get.
Anyone have any recommendations? Also, we do not have a significant substrate (just a slight covering of sand), so that may be a factor, although I'm willing to add more substrate if that's what I need to do for a particular anemone variety.
