Anemone growing on LR?

It appears I have an anemone looking thing growing on my LR. It's still small, about the size of a nickel and it's clear in color. Looks just like a very small anenome. Anyone know what this might be? Is it something that should be removed?
I'd take a pic but my fiancee is out with the camera somewhere.

I have a ton of these too. I have no idea what they are. I had one of my blue chromis' get swallowed up by one (only the head of the chromis was stuck inside this thing). When I feed my fish shrimp, these anenome like things will also eat the shrimp.
Are these any good for a tank, because I personally want to get rid of them.
