anemone problem deflating

I bought an anemone an has deflated and greenish brown blackish stuff is comming out of the center where mouth is, is this ok? the anemone is an Condy Anemone.

hmm I don't think thats ok...so how long has the tank been setup for?

I dont know if the deflating part is ok, but the brownish black stuff is probably just poop.

the tank has been up for 8 months, now the anemone seems to ok.

They will deflate when they are digesting food and when they poop. Pretty normal unless it gets drastic and it doesn't reinflate.

Really? I've never even seen my anemones do that before

How long have you had an anemone? It is very common, you can do a quick search here as well and pull up quite a few threads on the subject pretty easily.

I had a sebae for about a year and condis and other sabaes in my old tanks and I never noticed it

the brown stuff might also be zooxanthellae. if its new to the tank it might have lost some of its zooxanthellae. or if its been eating it could also be pooping
