After the sad loss of my BTA by his deciding not only to remove the sponge but also the protective end off of the powerhead in order to secure his demise, I have some time before purchasing a new one (in a few months). I have two maxi jet 1200s and had put a filter from my tiny fission protein skimmer around the bottom. It fit perfectly. Apparently, the anemone tried to eat it, and in doing so, pulled off the filter basket thing.
My question is, what do you suggest I use in order to protect future anemones? They will be in a 120 gallon tank.
