My son bought an anemone yesterday and added it to our newly purchased, (although established 17 years) 75 gal, everything testing great (nitrates, nitrites, ammonia, etc).....I dont know the name and he's not home. It wasnt expensive (15.00), the base is salmon colored and the tentacle thingys are white with purple tips. Stings fish but not people, apparently. Moving around fine, ate, etc. Question is: This afternoon it was kind of sending out a whitish, smoky cloud. Is that normal?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts....we've learned SO MUCH from this site this week!! You guys are AWESOME!

Sounds like a Condi or condilactis from the florida region. It can be expelling waste. when was the last time it ate? What are your parameters?? This really should be moved to the forum for anenomes and clowns. you will get more replies there,Thomas is the resident anenome expert. :joy: Good luck. They are a hardy first anenome. they are known as the tumble weed anenome cause they love to roam but sometimes that not a bad thing. :happyfish
