Anemone Question

Hi Everyone,
I would like to add an anemone, probably a LTA for my Maroon clown. I did some searching on this site, and seems that anemone are hard to keep and should not be kept at all.
My LFS has 3 LTA in a 10gal tank with 15watt NO light. They seem to be doing well, but will probably die soon. I have a 55gal acrylic tank with 120watts of NO, about 2.10 watts/gal.
Would this be enough, or will my LTA just suffer an die? I was just thinking that 120watts is a lot better then 15watts.
Please let me know what you think? Should I just not buy one? I would hate to have anything suffer.
Thank you :)

I would recommend against it. I think it would just waste away. Use it as an excuse for an upgrade and plan to get one later. As for the LFS, they will always have animals where they shouldn't be because they will only be there for a short time before they are either sold or die.

i have to agree i made the mistake of doing exactly what your thinking. had a 160 no lights and tried an anemone, looked ok for a while but eventually withered away. wait to you get some vho or metal halides and until your tank matures if you really want to try it.

Thanks for the feedback. That what I thought.
My tank is pretty mature, but I was just worried about the lights.
What is the minimum wattage needed? 4watts/gal?
Thanks again :)

Well I went and bought a Lemon Peel Angel instead of the anemone.
Beautiful fish. Will probably be more comfortable then the anemone.
Thanks for all the advice :D

I had a large carpet anenome in my tank. Beautiful thing. A shrimp or crab got inside of it and tore it up. When it dies it relased all it's toxins and killed all my livestock. I will not put another anenome in my tank. Going slower on the crabs and shrimps this time too.
