I have a BTA which has found a spot that it likes and stuck there. I spot feed it 2x per week and all is well I guess.
Last night I noticed one of it's tenticles off and floating around the tank. Upon closer inspection, it appears that a few tenticles are "twisted" to the point of breaking off. The water flow is obviously doing this, but is that normal? Should I be concerned? What (if anything) can I do about it?
Thanks, John

I dont have a bta but I do have a condy. I would redirect the flow if possible. I also wouldnt worry about a couple lost tenacles. My condy has lost tenacles before and no affect on it. Mine were lost to its tenacles getting in skimmer intake.

Couple of reasons to see tentacles floating around, one could be the water flow, however the other could be predator or even the well meaning clown fish.
I'd remove any lost tentacles for water quality reasons, If you suspect it is the water flow definitely try to redirect if you can, or move the rock its on. Feeding it where it is at could mean that it will stay there, but of course they always have some kind of mind of their own anyway and can always move.
Your choice, do some tweaking if you think it will help or wait to see if it moves on its own.
