FRom what ive read, they will split either when stressed or happy. But it is normal

As long as you can see an intact mouth on both, then yes, you have a healthy normal split.
BTA's readily split when conditions are right.

its fine if its not centered, my BTAs mouth used to be almost on the side, but it moved closer to the middle over time.

Mouth doesn't have to be right in the center and usually isn't after a split. The real issue is just to make sure it's intact.

Mine split in the center so the mouths were right on the sides, and eventually they moved to the center. Then, one got halfway sucked up an intake on my filter, and it reformed itself so the mouth ended up in the center. You should be good
