anemone split

I posted this in the reef section when it should have been posted here instead. My bad......

Anyhow, my BTA split yesterday. The one section is still in the same spot which is a deep grove in the rock. The other piece has decided to climb up on this big rock and is touching a single mushroom which of course is not happy and turning white in areas, yikes. I wish it would move.
Anyhow, from what I have read this is good thing for an anemone to split is it not??
What is the main cause for them to split??
And lastley, will anemones bother toadstool leathers??

My BTA's almost never bothered any coral I had, and yes it is a neat and good thing for your anemone to split....Until it hits plague proportions like mine did. I finally had to remove 30-35+ of them.
They can split because they are happy or stressed

Well that is good to know. They both seem very healthy looking, I am going to post some pictures of it where it was when it split and then today after I took a nap this afternoon the one has moved towards the back of the rock. Seems to have found a crevis there but who knows it just might move again. God knows where though as all my other rocks have mushrooms on them.
