Anemone stinging polyps HELP!

does any one know if an anenome can sting different kinds of corals

Absolutely. Anemones sting everything they touch, humans, fish, corals, etc.
You need to move one or the other or the polyps will die. What kind of anemone is it and in what size tank?

Yah, I've kind of taken it as an inevitability that anything within a certain radius of my anemone will be stung. So either move anything that isn't permanantley attached to a big rock thats within that radius or accept that it'll eventually die off and won't be an issue.
 
There's no telling what makes it happy either. I had one in the same spot for a year and just today it wandered a few inches and stung the heck out of my candy cane coral.

I seem to be lucky as my anemone is next to my button polyps and they seem to be open and not affected at all. Its a Sebae, I don't know if its because its hosting or what but my polyps don't seem to be affected by touching it.
