why does an anemone detach itself from the rock?

They tend to let go if they don'y like where their at or if there in realy poor health they can have problems holding on.

My anemone moves all over the tank. At least once a week I put him up higher in the tank so he can get light...he stays a day or two then moves. I just figure he likes to visit everyone else in the tank. Sociable little guy.
