It will move to where ever it likes to. Continually trying to remove it would just cause unneeded stress.

It is funny that you say this, I have a hard time finding or offering if you will a comfy spot for my LTA. I try to place him on a rock with a nice nook in the rock that will fit hit foot nicely, not too close to the light and not to close or not direct in the line of the current.
I have several different types of anemones, and I find that they like light to moderate current, but not strong current. At least that is certain of my LTA.
I realize they will go where they want and feel comfortable, however he seems to keep falling off the rocks and on to my bare bottom tank floor - where there is little light and next to no current. I am not sure why. The last time he got to the floor of the tank I left him there for a day to see how he would look. If he seemed to look well, I would leave him alone, but he began to develope stringy looking stuff near his foot and I moved him once more. I hope he is ok where I put him.
It must be a thing with LTA's, anytime I see them in stores, they are always on the floor of the tank. I just have too much rock in my tank right now to feel that he is ok there.
My BTA, candy and sabea are all fine where they are.
Is your LTA close to current or really close to the light?

Both sebae and LTA like a sand substrate, not being on top of the rocks. Both might also place their foot in the substrate while being near or even attatching to the rock under the substrate. An anemone will always go where it feels its best suited, no where you think it should be. About the only thing you can do is if it locates itself where you would like it to be then feed it right then and there and perhaps it will think that if food is available right there it might stay.
