do they need a light on all night?? got a free bubble tip today....any info would help

You don't need to keep the light on all night, but you do need high intensity lighting. Lots of wattage.

Coralife mini agualight...9 watt true actinic 03 blue and 9 watt 10000 k daylight

That is not nearly enough lighting for a BTA you should really bring it back to the store, the odds of it surviving long term are slim. Mine survived for over a month hiding in the rock work but eventually they came out because they need light to survive. So yours may last a while if your water parameters are good but not for too long.

I'd plan on upgrading very soon or bringing back the anemone.
