I am gonna set up a 45 gallon tank it will contain some kind of anenome and some type of clownfish. i am not a expert on SWF so if you were someone just starting with anenomes what kind would you pick and what kind of clowns?:notsure: Also what kind of filtration would you get? I was thinking of getting a protien skimmer and some power heads for water flow. Will i need a sump?

protein, skimmer are not necessary, but highly recomended. Power heads are a must have for water movement for a lot fo anenomes. Make sure you have the right lighting. It's recomended that most anenomes get 3 watts/gallon on average.
There are all kinds of different anenomes and different clowns. Look at soem on the internet, and figure out which ones you like. And you can prolly do it in a 45.

If you are really hooked and have the clownfish and anemone bug, then I highly suggest the purchase of the following book.
Clownfishes by Joyce Wilkerson
As to what hosting anemone to start out with, this will depend on the lighting that you will be able to provide for it. If you can go right up to metal halides then you could keep quite a few types of anemones.
The easiest to handle with the highest survival rate would be the Bubble Tip anemone, this one also has a good reproductive rate in the home aquarium. It would be advisable to look for an aquacultured speciman.
I recommend the use of a protien skimmer, and I like the use of a sump. Most in sump protien skimmers are better than the hang on the back of the tank versions.
