I know I am working with a sebae right now and bought it white....... the size of a quarter. I saw it like this in a LFS for a month. Brought it home, put it under 2x175 mh and 220 vho and this sucker has grown 5x in two months and is dark brown.
I tried a pink tip ( white ) under NO lighting and it died in a month. I believe they need the bacteria internally for survival.
I will post some picks tomorrow of my sebea to show you.

Thomas....... are there any anenome that are white by nature? My wife would love you if you could recomend us one!!!!
I am way to new to know if there are any. Sorry if I am hijacking this thread
I have read some diver logs that talk about white anemones, something about a giant one. I have heard that the Sea Anemone or Sea Flower anemone can be white as well as the condy. I do not favor Condy anemones at all.
Normally a white anemone is a bad sign. Being bleached and/or having lost or expelled all of it's zoo. Much better to steer clear of any white anemone.

Here is a pic of Asbury's sick E.quad, as you can see it is all white as of last january. The recommondation was to feed it often for a month to see what happens. Last I heard it was turning brown and feeling better. I would like an update on it if possible.
E.Quad's should not look like this.
