Anenome help

I'm looking to upgrade my lighting system for my tank b/c I would like to add a BTA or a carpet anenome to my 30gal but I'm not sure what lights I need to be able to keep an anenome and what kind of care I need to give it so it flourishes in my tank....... I will not be doing corals in this tank.

You need metal halides and pristine water conditions.

So I cant go any less than MH then for either of those anemones and yes I know bout the conditions this will be a few months from now before I can afford a new lighting set up and to get my tank to the 6 month mark so it has a decent amount of time to be established.

Oh another question do BTAs like to attach to rock or sand better??

IMO its a 50/50 heres a pic of my bta on the rocks near the sand

My bta stays on the rocks. Some will say you can keep bta's under PC's and some will say you can't. IDK about carpet anemones.

I dont think there's any way you can keep a carpet in that small of a tank, with PC's. They will outgrow the tank and always require MH.

this is my Caribbean carpet it been in the corner on the sand attached to a rock for a year and a half. It's grown from the size of a baseball to now bigger then a softball. Its under 2x250 Mh but in a corner under a over hang of rock.
