This little guy came with some LR I picked up last week. Not the best rock but I thought I might be making some money from the anenome. Not sure what type it is. The pics do the color justice. It is about one inch long. The arms look bubbled hence my thought that it might be worth some money. Anyway, I have alot of corals in the tank and will probrably move it into my other tank. Let me know and Good Fishing.

I AM SO JEALOUS. THAT LOOKS LIKE A ROSE BUBBLE TIP, BUT IT DOES REQUIRE LOTS OF LIGHT TO BE HEALTHY AND GROW. WHERE DID U PICK THE lr, IM GOING THERE TODAY, LOL

I will check out some more of the rock at their store. The Owner wasnt in when I got and his daughter just picked it right up knocked off a few snails and put it in the bag. That would be sweet if it was a rose. I have wanted one of those for a while. I currently run a coraline 4 footer with two actinics and two 10000k. Do you think that will be enough light?

how many watts is the total output and how many gallons is your tank?
btw is the tank cycled, if not you can just bring back the anemone as it will surely die. anemonies in general like extablished tanks.

I have a coralife vho with 260w on a 55gal tank. (attached to a 30 gal. refugium) I have had the tank up for about a year and a half+. I only put two new rocks in the tank. I have already had about 80pds in the DT. There are a few corals in there and I will watch to see if there is a direct effect on the anenome. If so, Ill have to set up a new tank system. OH NO. More tanks in the Apartment. Just kidding. The more the better.
I used to have a condi that I sold to a company in Columbus, It was doing great but it had to go. Too bad, I might have to find a customer that wants this one. for the right price of course.

I am wondering specifics on the RBTA I have read thatyou shouldnt feed anenomes more than once a week or less. Is this correct or should I feed very small amounts daily?

I would feed it a piece of silverside that's about the size of it's mouth (but you certainly can go larger) 2-3 times a week.

You can get a pack of frozen silversides. One pack will last a very long time. I haven't even gone through half a pack and I've had it long enough for it to get freezer burn in a zip-lok!!
Your anemone is tiny, and if it IS a RBTA you may hafta cut the silversides in thirds.

Right thanks for the advice I remember seeing those at the store. I will have to pick some up. I have heard that most people overfeed anenomes. I follow this line of logic until I start large quantities of brown slime. Basically, undigested food. Once I find the right balance stick with it. Thanks and Good Fishing..
