Anenome in live rock

Does anyone know if it is unusual for an anemone to settle inside a hole in live rock? I recently got a pink tip anemone and placed it on a piece of rock with a hole that is big enough for about half of the anemone to fit in.
It has settled down inside the hole and I want to be sure it is not stuck. I did feed it a hunk of shrimp which it gobbled down, so it is at least eating.

Sure its ok, they will go where they feel the most comfortable. When you say pink tip you mean hatian anemone right?

My pink tip hatian anemone does the same thing only it likes to go under the rock.I guess this is normal.

hey guys, i just got a little anemone yesterday, not sure what species it is. it has a reddish/orange base with white tentacles and pink dots on the tip of the tentacles. (anyone who can identify it would be appreciated)
anyways, i put it in my tank and it first settled on a rock and was all fine. i left the house and when i came back at night it settled inside a hole in the live rock and all you can see now is the tentacles sticking out. i was kinda worried too.

probably a pink tip hatin or condy. They shouldnt be white though any anemone that is white is unhealthy.
