anenome relocation

I have a magnificent anenome that has left its perch and is now on the front of my tank at the water line. I know they go were they like, but when it comes time for a water chnage the level will drop leaving him dry.
If I try to remove him off the glass gently and place him back on the original rock will it leak any toxins into the tank. I have had it for about four months and seemed very happy until last week

i always recommend not touching anemones, it is very bad for them.. i would leave it where it is, and when you go to do a water change take the water out slowly and it will move down accordingly by itself..
