We just bought another 15 lbs of live rock on Wednsday. One piece after we put it in produced 2 3" diameter anenomeas. They are flat with large short tenticles. I think they are carpets, can anyone confirm just fron description? This morning, one of them has seemed to have found a happy place, while the other actually is in the process of going into a "cave" under a rock. What kind of conditions for light, current, nutrition, etc do they need to be happy???

Sea anemones need a lot of light. This cannot be overemphasized. They also need good current and food every few days to be happy. Thawed frozen shrimps should work, but not too many.

depending on the type they are some like a little current and others like more.... my seabae does not like strong currents that is why they go into a "cave" the current is to strong for that one.....
