I am looking to get a new fish sometime soon to add to my tank and really like the look of some of the bigger angelfish. I am running a 75 gallon tank with a 20 gallon sump tank that I am looking to upgrade to maybe a 29 or something bigger sometime soon. Anyway, couple questions, on some of the angelfish, it says 100 gallon or 70 gallon minimum, would those either or both of those be ok in my setup? I didn't know if the 100 gallon was the recommended but might do ok in a 70 gallon setup?
Also for all the angels it says they are not reef safe or on other pages I have read they need to be monitored. I don't really have a reef setup, just some button polyps currently and some star polyps, and a red mushroom. Would Angels eat those? I don't know for sure if I want to get into all the other corals for now, so if those wouldn't get eaten then I would be ok with holding off on getting corals.
Let me know your suggestions, as I really do love the look of these fish, but don't want it to be unhappy (or dead) and I also don't want my soft corals to get eaten up. Thanks in advance!
