angelfish question

I have a coral beauty in my 29 gallon tank right now. I saw a flame angel I fell in love with. The local store here said they would get along fine together and I just want to know if that is true. Plenty of live rock and hiding places so that won't be a problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

But for fish I have really nothing in there. I am setting up my 100 gallon and sure it may take a while but they will go in there. I was just wondering. You just never know if they are telling you the truth or out to make a buck. Thanks for replying though.

Well, you need to get yourself a new fish store. Anybody who tells you that is just trying to get your money. Angels don't get along with other Angels especially in a 29 gallon tank. It's just not possible. Not to sound rude but you might want to read about fish before you just assume it's alright. You should do research yourself instead of just asking here. I feel sorry for the people that guy would trick. Almost everybody anymore is just out to make money and not be honest to the customer. It just isn't right. Final answer: Don't get the Flme because it would be a disaster. Wait until you get the 100 up and still they might kill eachother.

dont add it! wait until you get your 100 up and running and then i would say it would be ok for 2 angels in there. i would look for a new, better lfs, who is knowledgeble and helpful. do some reading so you to will know about the fish additions. bo

That would deffinately not work! get the 100 and then you can add both. In my 90 I had a flame back,a flame, and a bicolor, and they did great together.

Just so you know I have been into breeding fish and maintaining aquariums around town for fourteen years. I do have knowledge of fish and aquariums. Sure saltwater and freshwater are different. I have always had an interest in the saltwater kind. I have many books, magazines and look on many websites. So doing research I have done. But lots of books, websites and stores all have their own opinion. So that is why I asked people who do have these types of tanks. So don't think I am dumb and not knowledgable. That really frustrates me when people assume. You learn when you ask. So that is why I am. I appreciate all replies to my questions as alwalys. I just want to do my big tank right the first time. So even though a question may be stupid, when you read different things and are being told different things, well who better to ask then people who own these types of fish.

Now my slant is a bit different then the others in the area that if you were adding them at the same time it could work even in that tank. The fact tho that one is established is what leads the others and me frankly to say it probably would not work. In my time I have found that if I add 2 fish at the same time who might normally not get along they sometimes do just fine, but it is always a gamble. I do agree also that some times the answers to members questions are treated a bit more harshly then need be, but I think it is just some peoples way of getting their point across they are not trying to be mean (at least I hope not).
