Hey everyone, I have been cruising the boards here lately and finally decided I needed to sign up. It is good to see a great forum dedicated to this hobby. Anywho, here is my question.

Are there any anglers that would do okay with the guys I already have?

(1) Porcupine Puffer
(1) Undulate Trigger
(2) Yellow Bellied Damsels
(1) Chocolate Chip Starfish

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh also, there will be a Fuzzy Dwarf Lion going in a couple of weeks.

Thanks again Yall and good to be on the forum!

Nope...the puffer and trigger will likely pick at the angler thinking it's a rock, sponge, etc.

I'd also worry about the trigger and the lion...undies are ill-tempered on a good day, and many triggers will attack lions. Also, the angler would likely eat the fuzzy...I think even a hungry A. maculatus (wartskin angler) would try a fuzzy to be honest.

Thanks guys for the responses. I have thought it over and believe that I am going to send the Undulated to the LFS. Really want a Angler but guess I am goin to skip it as I would rather have the Lion and I am not going to get rid of our little puffer, hes our favorite. :) But I DID get a snowlfake eel today, been wanting one for a long time and had a coupon for the LFS, so I only paid 16 bucks for him! So, when I do get rid of the Undulated, are there any triggers that are less aggressive? I really like the Triangle and the Picasso. Any temperment advice on them or should I just forget the triggers all together?

Thanks again,
Brandon

I've been told the red tail/Sargassum trigger was pretty unagressive????? but definetily make sure this is verified before making any actions

Well, took the undulated in to the LFS a little while ago. They were amazed at how beautiful he was, but then I said, yeah, but not with my other fish. I also told them, and watched them do it, to write VERY AGGRESSIVE on the tank they put him in. They in return ordered me a Fuzzy Dwarf for trade so Im just waiting on that little guy to get there! All in all, I think it was for the best. Oh, also forgot, Im giving up on triggers as well. LOL

I can't argue with that, the picasso is a much nicer looking fish. Though the niger's red teeth are really cool too.

Clown and queen triggers are some of the most agressive. The queen trigger being probably the most agressive fish you can buy. But yeah, they're cool looking.

I agree the clown and queen are very cool triggers, i have had clown, niger, blue throat and pink tail and currently have a picasso. The Picasso is more aggresive towards me ( my Fingers) then any of the others. I have watch him closely when i cleaning my tank. Still love the guy though
