If i ordered some anglers for my 210 how many could i keep. If i got them o would get the biggest ones possible since the tank is so big. They would be housed with some much bigger tangsor something like that. I have read alot about them I just havent found anything about them eating eachother.

i think as long as they are the same size and fed well they wont eat each other. plus they should have lots of space in your tank. but anything small enough to fit in it's mouth is FOOD.

be carefull they will also eat stuff ALOT bigger than what they can and some have died that way..
thats why IMO a species tank only for anglers is best,, not that it is a must though

imo and ime anglers should have species only tanks or should not be kept at all. in the brief time i had one it ate 4 3in yellowtail damsels and attempted to eat my snake eel. they also need pristine water conditions so thats another reason to have a species only. i have also heard reports of angelers attempting to eat fish 3-4 times their size.

I second this. You can get a small one and put it in a cube, I have seen this done. I am unaware of the size they get so not sure if this is a good idea but None the less my budy has one in a cube and it is cool I have a hard time finding him at times.

wow. you guys just answered a few of my questions without my having to ask. Although, as cruel as it may sound, I was thinking of getting one to clear out my damsels that were suggested to cycle my tank.
owell, back to creating my list for my 125

I just got done talking to the people at *********** and i asked them about them and they said they have a guy that has 15 of them in a 100 gallon and they dont have a problem. They said they have to be around the same size. So in my tank im thinking about 5 or so 6'' ones. probably brighter colors. I think it will be the oddest tank on the site.

why what is wrong with the way i have the fish in the tank. As long as they are about the same size i should be good. The tank is plenty big and has plenty of live rock.

You put Anglers in a tank with alot of rock work and you're NEVER gonna see them...trust me.
Even at the same size, some are going to eat the others...it's not "if", it's "when".

Buying for colors is not recommended. They change colors to blend in with their habitat, so spending extra money for a certain color is just a waste.
