Animal Cruelty?

I have a TINY burrfish puffer. He's about 1 1/2 inches and hardly ever swims. He mostly hangs in one corner of my 75 gal.
I have a new 10 gal nano and I was wondering if I could move him in there for a couple of months while I treat my DT?

He looks very thin and seems to have a mild case of pop eye. Is this the case or is it just the picture? The ten gallon would be fine for awhile, and may help him eat without competition, if it were established. Moving this guy into a tank that you just set up is likely to do him in. Even if you monitor the tank every day, and do water change as needed for ammonia, the tank is unstable. There will be parameter fluctuations which will add considerable stress to this guy.

Happy late birthday! I am sorry for your loss. This is not a porc. It is a Burr which are hard to get eating and have a high mortality rate.

Even a tiny burr fish is probably too big for a 10 gallon. I purchased a tiny porc puffer a while ago and was QT'ing him in a 10 gallon and had to end it much sooner than I wanted to - he just polluted the water too badly. They are voracious and messy eaters (most of them) and it's impossible to keep up with keeping the water healthy in a 10 gallon with a puffer in it, or at least it was for me.
