I recently purchased a used 55 gal tank and transported it roughly 150 miles. When I picked the tank and inhabitants up there was zero algae present. After I set it up, roughly two and a half weeks ago, it has developed brown algae on the live rock and a brownish/orange algae on the live sand. Have 9 snails, 6 hermits and 1 emerald crab to act as a cleanup crew. Any ideas? Water conditions are perfect. I have been told that the tank is going through an "algae phase" and will come back out of it.
