Another Algae ????

Hi everyone,
My tank has been up and running for about 8 weeks. Water test results are great, except my phosphates are .1ppm.
The only problem is that I have a brown film over my cc. It is nothing like the diatom bloom I had when cycling. Also, bubbles are starting to appear and are rising from the cc. Is this good??
I started using Marc Weiss Reef Vital DNA to help in coralane algae growth, and this is when all this brown algae appeared.
I plan on using only RO/DI water from now on and am puchasing some Kent Phosphate Sponge.. Will this take care of the problem?

I'd think so, tap water is a big part of the high phosphates which in turn is how you get algae blooms.

What causes the bubbles? Should I be concerned?

Bubbles are probably caused by photosyntheisis in the algae generating oxygen.
