so I picked up a pair of O clowns on Thursday, acclimated them for just over an hour, put them in they were swimming all around. now its Sunday night and I really haven't seen them eat too much. seems to me like they are eating a couple small flakes, and spitting some of the bigger ones out. they are eating omega one marine flakes... but not a lot of them. is this an issue?? or are they just so tiny they dont need to eat that much food?
they also seem to be just going crazy, all over the aquarium and up and down in the front corner. should I be worried? or are they just getting use to there new home?
to answer some of the questions I know will be asked...
1. yes I watched them eat at the LFS (the Omega One flakes)
2. no I don't think they are breathing heavy (there small and hard to tell)
3. no spots or ich signs.
4. water parameters test perfectly fine
5. salinity is 1.022
6. 14 gallon Bio-cube
um... that's all I can think of, anything else please ask me and I will tell you so hopefully I can get some answers to my slight issue.
Thanks!
Collin

All you have said is normal- try feeding cyclops- its a frozen cube- a whole cube might be a bit much for your tank so try to cut the cube in half or quarters so be careful not overfeed your tank. all fish eats cyclops. As they get bigger try to vary their diet.

I bought a couple clowns about 6 weeks ago and my fish did the same. They swim back and forth as if it is doing laps. After a couple weeks they have slowed down cause they host the bottom front corner of my tank. I will say that my fish eat like horses. They really like Hikari Marine S. Pellet food you can get from petsmart. Inverts also love it. I give them that along with mysis and brine shrimp, etc. cube (defrosted).

so once they find what they want to host they will slow down a bit? I am thinkign I should get some sort of softie in there and see if they will host that.. maybe???

My little false percs are very picky eaters.. only thing they'll eat is "turtle treats" which is basically tiny krill and every now and then they'll munch on micro crab. Both hate flakes for some reason
....... as for the swimming in a corner like mad, mine also did this.. that is until i put another false with her. Now both are happy and healthy

Heres a pic of what they eat (little puffs tank in bg)
