I have two triggers Niger trigger, and a humu picasso trigger. I also have a SFE in my 55 gallon there is about 35lbs of rock in the center so they have In my opnion lots of room to swim.
I was wondering what other fish I can get that are NOT AGGRESSIVE in this tank. I was thinking like a hippo/yellow tang.
maybe a coral buety (Spelled wrong I know) or LMB.
Any ideas or comments Feel Free.

Yer overloaded. Maybe another eel could do it, but other than that, the triggers will be taking up the space. Blue hippo and yellow tnag = no.

I was thinking a large hippo or yellow tang becuase my triggers or only 3-4 inches right now.
The tangs would be aroun 4-5 inches.
I dont think I want another eel just because my tank is not eel proofe very well GAPS. I was think that or a lion fish like a dwarf one maybe. Any ideas.
By the way how you figure I am overloaded???
I have 35lbs of 5 year old rock and 70lbs of 2 1/2 year old CC-LS mix. I also have two HOB filters running carbon once a month. I ALSO have a fluva canister filter(forgot the modle number it's one of the bigger ones) Running. Along with a 400 gallon central refugium.
Explain your "OVERLOADED" reasoning??

Below is what you posted in reply to a question regarding tangs in another thread. So i guess you answered you own question?
If you have your heart SET on keeping these two fish. You can get away with a 55 gallon for about 1-2 years AT THE MOST.
I would reccomend around a 75-90 gallon tank. If you plan on keeping these fish.
Look on this site for fish that stay around 2-4 inches. That should be a good size for you 35 Hex.

The niger alone gets 12in. long, and the humu will grow to be 10in. Those two fish are probably pushing it. They will need atleast a 6ft tank when they get full size. They should be fine for a while but you should probably upgrade to a larger tank. Triggers are also supposed to be messy.

There is no question that your bio-load could handle the additions with that sweet refugium. It is a matter of the size of the living quarters that a 55 gallon can provide. It is not just water quality that people are concerned about when looking to introduce Tangs to a small tank. The blue Tang does require adaquate swimming room that i believe only a larger tank can provide. Unless you plan on putting them in the fuge then i am sorry but i do believe that a 55 gallon would be a very iresponsible choice IMO.

There are two problems with adding the blue tang straight to the refuge. There are 2 bamboo sharks in there with 1 dragon moray and a golden moray. The tang is only about 1/2" big right now. It is only a baby. I was thinking I let him get about 4-5" then move him to my 200 let him get about 6-7" and move him into the 400, and I still don't know if the eels/sharks would have him for lunch??

Does that make more sense?

I understand what you mean, since juvinile blues have an extremely high fatality rate, it may be a wise choice to purchase a 4 - 5 incher and introduce him into the 200 gallon thus jumping to step 2 of your 3 step plan. JMO

cause the 400 is not a actual "TANK", it is a old pond mold I had from our old house and I used it like a refuge.
That make sense??
