Another Fuge question for a newbie.

As much as the valuable and detailed information that is posted here which is way way better than most LFS can give, being a newbie to the reef, I am still a bit not up to speed on setting up a fuge.
So I will describe what I have and I would greatly appreciate help with my setup.
I have been running a FO tank 37g, sand bed, CPR BakPAK protein skimmer with MJ1200, Fluval 304 cannister and a fluidized bed filter with MJ600 (as I never added live rock because of FO.). Started with some dead coral and rock. Fish did well and I kept it simple.
I would like to convert to a small reef with a couple of reef safe fish, soft corals and some other reef friendly inhabitants. Nothing too extravagant.
I would like to use a 10g tank as a fuge under the tank in cabinet.
Here are my questions:
1. Should I consider a sump/fuge setup?
2. Could I add live sand to the sand already in main tank to "seed" it, or will adding LR
have the same "seeding" effect on the current sand?
3. Would a HOB fuge be simpler?
4. What height should the baffles be in the fuge?
5. What overflow box to use?
6. Will compact flourescent lighting system be good and what kind?
Anyother info on this matter would be most helpful!
Thanks in advance for the help!
