Another Kalkwasser Question

Hello all, I am going to try the Kalkwasser system and after reading all of the Kalk 101 etc... I still have some questions.
1st. Everything says the system needs to be stable before you start to utilize. My system is 2 years old and I have been using the 2 part buffer weekly and liquid calcium by weekly. Is that stable or does stable mean readings that are not changing rapidly?
2. I do not currently test the calc and alk but am going to buy some tests today what levels should I be shooting for, both before and after kalk?
3. Is it ok to ease my way into the Kalk lifestyle ie. under concentrating the mix to ensure no melt down?
4. After I get going should my system be fine with just water changes and the Kalkwasser?(no more additives)
Thanks
B

1, 2)I'm just wondering why your adding all that junk and not testing for it? That stuff has a lot more impact on your tank then kalk.If you don't have a PH meter I'd get one before you start using kalk. IMO, its a must. Calcium should be anywhere from 350-450 depending on what corals you keep. I'd shoot for the higher end. 420 is a good number. I have kept my alk high, low and med. Right now I'm shooting for a lower number around 2.6..anywhere from 2.6 -5.0 should be good. Just try to keep it stable.
3,4) Kalk is used to help maintain levels. In a fully stocked reef tank it probably wont maintain Ca and alk levels. You'll still need to add the two part buffers.
