Another lighting question...

I have a mandarin goby, geniopora coral, a snowflake eel, and some snails. I have 2 lights setup. One is Compact Flourescent Daylight 10000k and the other is a blue light closest name i can remember at the moment is marine-Glo. But should i leave the blue on overnight or just turn them both off. I have a timer for the Daylight, and i just leave the blue one on all the time, it would take too seconds to hook it up to the timer, but give your input.

What I do is set my timer for the blue (actinics) to come on at 8AM then the whites on at 9AM . They run concurrently all day till I turn off the whites at 8PM then the actinics at 9PM . I have blue led moonlights that cover the system for the nightime and this combo works well although I rely on my Tang to graze on the algae that grows. HTH Peter
