Another lighting question

My little cousin has gotten into the saltwater hobby. We set her up with a 25 gallon tall tank we put coralife 96 watt compact lighting on the tank. Now she wants more hard coral in the tank so we are getting her new lights. My question is do you think that a 175 watt metal halide retro kit would be to much for the tank. I just dont want the tank to get to hot and we start having temp issues.

I have the same tank with a 250w MH and a 12v 500ma fan and the temp is ok now. During the summer I anticipate the temp rising too high and I will need to adjust at that time.
