Another Lion Question

Hi! I love lion fish (can you tell by my name?) :p I really wanted to get a Volitan Pterios but now that i have researched how big they get I am going to wait until I have a HUGE tank setup before I get one. But, I am very interested in the dwarf lions. Can anyone tell me about how big they can get in captivity and about how big of a tank that they need when they are full grown and how fast they grow (if you can estimate that too). Thanks for your help!

Well I'm the big lionfish around here and I bet you can't tell that I like them. Well, I currently have a Black Volitan in my 125 with an Antennata and a Picasso Trigger. In my 70 gallon I have a Dwraf Lion with a Harlequin Tusk. So I know them quite well. But you are gonna have to give up some info here. You didn't tell us what size tank it is or the other tankmates. But you must have at least a 55 gallon tank for them to be healthy, although I prefer larger tanks. They get to be about 7 or 8 inches and they have the same basic requiremnets of all lions. Cool fish. I love mine. For a full grown Dwarf I would seriously recommend a 70 gallon or above. It takes a good 3 to 4 years for them to grow to be full size or so mine had taken.
